Solutions For Your Target Market

Before you create a product or choose a product to promote you need to do some research about your target market.  You can do this by various means.  Start by creating surveys on your favourite social media platforms and on your blog.  Put some thought into the questions you ask in your surveys because you will be amazed at how much you can learn about people by asking the right questions.

Go to Google Trends and Youtube to find out what people are searching for.  You need to find out about their most pressing problems, their needs, their goals and even their dreams and ambitions for their life and their business.  Time spent on researching will be time well spent.  It will save you money by avoiding investing in a product which is not going to provide a solution for your target market.  Finding appropriate solutions to their problems is one of the top keys to success both for them and for you.

When you have thoroughly researched these needs then you can move forward with confidence knowing that you are much more likely to come up with what they are hoping to find.  Your goal is to l take them from where they are currently to where they want to be.

Everybody is looking for a transformation whether it is in their business, their health, their weight, their relationsips, their finances.   Does your product/service provide it?

Change your offer (the transformation you are promising) according to feedback from your target audience.  Don’t change it because of suggestions from friends and colleagues or even yourself.  Get it straight from the horse’s mouth !  They will tell you what they want if you ask them!

After you have thoroughly researched their needs, design a solution for them and then ask for feedback so tht you can constantly make that solution better.  Find out who needs your solution and why.

Who will have the most to lose by not buying your product?  Don’t be afraid to let them know the consequences if they don’t get it.  Show them how it will make their life easier or grow their business faster.

Create a few customer avatars and give each of them a name – it will help you to understand them better.  You need to approach each avatar differently.  Get to know each one inside out both through demographics and psychographics.

Demographics such as:

Age

Gender

Married or single?

Where do they live?

What is their culture or beliefs?

Psychographics such as:

Where do they shop?

Do they buy online?

What terminology do they use

What tv programs do they watch?

What are their hobbies?

Are they tech savvy?

Do they prefer to shop online?

When you believe that you have the solutions that are appealing to your target audience you can run some ads to test the market and from that point onwards pay attention to what they like and what they don’t like.  This is the time to track track track and hopefully start raking in the money!  If not in true entrepreneurial fashion you will have to go back to the drawing board and find some better solutions!
